Karoliina Ainge is Independent Diplomat’s Cybersecurity and Technology Lead. In this role, she explores diplomatic processes on cyberspace and digital issues and leads Independent Diplomat’s work on technology policy. Karoliina is the former Head of Estonian Cyber Security Policy. She worked in the government CIO’s office where she coordinated activities under the national cyber strategy and participated in the launch of numerous e-government initiatives, including data embassies, and e-residency. She concentrated on ensuring that e-government innovations are respectful of cyber security concerns without compromising the digital rights of users.
