In reaction to the recent events happening in the world; that is, the outbreak and spreading of the coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic, the Antall József Knowledge Centre has undertaken various measures to make sure that the health and safety of the speakers and the audience attending the think.BDPST conference and its side events, the Start-up Expo and the Young Leaders’ Forum, are not at risk. The organisers are aware of the problem and understand the gravity of the situation.
We would like to inform you that the think.BDPST conference, the Deep-Tech Start-up Expo, and the Young Leaders’ Forum event are under organisation and, at this moment, we do not plan to cancel the events. However, we strictly follow instructions of the Hungarian authorities, the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control, and the World Health Organization, and will inform you of any updates as soon as possible.
The health and safety precautions that will be in place at the venue are as follows
Multiple hand sanitising points will be established at all the important locations of the venue, including, but not limited to entrance, the conference room, the Expo space, the dining space, the B2B space, and the restrooms.
Sanitising packets will be distributed to the audience, speakers, and all the staff working at the three events.
Enhanced and constant cleaning services before and during the conference, equipped with medical grade sanitizing cleaning chemicals, will be performed throughout.
A health corner at the Start-up Expo Hall with constantly available medical staff amble to give advice, information, and, if needed, medical check and access to ambulance, will be established.
Constant health and safety supervision of all service providers and staff (e.g. cafeteria, cleaning services, and all technicians of the venue) will be performed regularly.
An information package will be provided online and on screen projections to all the guests and speakers regarding health and safety procedures and available services at the venue and in Budapest.
A contact point will be established by the conference staff with the Hungarian medical emergency authorities in order to respond to any update on the current situation in Hungary.
Please be informed that we are in everyday contact with those travelling from abroad. To our understanding, right now, there is no participant of our events who will travel from regions affected by the virus or where restrictions are applied (e.g. quarantine).
We monitor all available information and official statements regarding the COVID-19 situation in Hungary and we follow all the instructions provided by the relevant authorities.
We keep you updated about the situation in Hungary regarding any kind of restrictions that might have effects on the events. In case you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org.
We do our best to ensure that the whole programme will go according to plan and we will meet on 25-26 March in Budapest.
