Várkert Bazár

Várkert Bazár is the venue of the third instalment of think.BDPST

The venue of think.BDPST 2018 will be the Várkert Bazár, which can be found in an elegant and attractive area of the city, at the foot of the Royal Palace in Buda.

The group of buildings and gardens known as Várkert bazár were built in the 19th century (between 1875-1883) based on the designs by architect Miklós Ybl, who is also the designer of spectacular sights such as, the Opera House or the buildings on Andrássy Avenue.

The Várkert Bazár and Royal Gardens are part of the UNESCO World Heritage sites, along with the Buda Castle and the Danube riverbanks; the monument had to be restored to its original state.
